Testimonials

“Jessica is incredibly knowledgeable and patient with children. Her ability to build trust and work toward the necessary goals for each child is phenomenal. My son looked forward to working with her each time, and he always shared with pride about his accomplishments she helped him achieve. I have worked with a lot of speech therapists and pathologists in my many years in education, and as a parent of two dyslexic children...Jessica is uniquely gifted in this challenging and delicate work.”

— AMY-MARIE R., MOTHER OF 10 YEAR OLD SON

I can't say enough about how lovely Jessica was to work with. She was very thorough in my son's evaluation, and set up bi-weekly therapy sessions to improve his ability to articulate sounds. She made every session fun for my 4-year old -- she used children's games, blocks, and art supplies to work with him through play. She used hand movements to re-enforce tongue placement as he made each sound, which I found particularly effective as we practiced sounds at home. My son enjoyed working with her, and we saw improvements after a few weeks of treatment. I highly recommend working with Jessica!

“Jessica is not only competent, but also a sweet, empathetic, fun, and attentive speech therapist. She was such a great help for our son and our family! She was always willing to talk to our son’s school teachers to provide the most cohesive training, as well as to help understand and promote John’s progress. I cannot say enough to reflect how much we value Jessica’s work with our son. We are going to miss her!”

— MONICA B., MOTHER OF JOHN, AGE 7

“Jessica has been an amazing speech pathologist for our 4 year old. She makes the sessions really fun for him - he loves playing games! - and she has such a lovely, warm, engaging style that he really looks forward to their time together. And he has made wonderful progress since she started helping him! A remarkable difference from before we met her until now, about 4 months. I have also appreciated the guidance she gave us on how we can also support him - so it becomes a team effort. Jessica is fantastic all around and I highly recommend her!”

— Sarah T., mother of four-year-old son

Our toddler son began working with Jessica this spring to support receptive and expressive language delays. In the months he has been working with her we have seen tremendous progress with his speech and language. It seems that he is making progress almost every day! He is able to better understand us, as well as better express his needs and wants, which has led to less meltdowns and more productive communication.

Jessica clearly articulates goals and objectives for her work, and communicates regularly with us regarding little things we can do at home to support our son. We feel much less anxious and "in the dark" about his development, and our son truly looks forward to his sessions with her. He sprints to the door each time she arrives and bubbles with joy throughout each session. We're so grateful we found Jessica this year!

— Katie P., Mother of Toddler Son

“We would absolutely recommend Jessica as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She was one of the greatest influences in our daughter’s life. Her compassion, kindness, enthusiasm, is unparalleled and her reliability as a professional is unmatched. Her caring for our daughter was so genuine and immediate, she quickly became a member of our family. We wholeheartedly recommend Jessica and are confident in the positive impact she will have on any child in her practice.”

“Jessica is an amazing speech therapist. She has been helping out my son for 9 months, first in person and then virtually. He loves their time together -- literally asks for her -- and she has been such a positive person in our family's life. (Even my older daughter wants to join their sessions!) Over their time together, he has made so much progress in his command of language and self-confidence. I could not recommend Jessica any more!”

— Caroline L., Mother OF 5 Year Old Son

“We did virtual sessions with Jessica for a few months for my son who had prenodules on his vocal cords. My 5 year old son really enjoyed his sessions, as she incorporates games to make doing the vocal exercises fun! We learned a lot about how to use our voice without causing strain and got lots of tools and exercises for us to do on our own. In addition to being very knowledgeable and helpful, she’s also sweet and great (and patient!) with kids. I definitely recommend Jessica as a speech therapist!”

“Michelle Singer is an exceptional SLP! My son instantly connected with her tenderhearted, bubbly, and patient personality. She not only helped my son but also eased my anxiety about his development. She was the perfect fit for our family. My son was saying 25 words, lacked expression, was increasingly more impatient and frustrated. Each session she found ways to connect with him, keep him engaged and learning through play. After just a couple of weeks our family started to notice improvement in his behavior and communication. After 6 weeks, my son doubled his vocabulary and was more expressive. My favorite is when he says "oh no" with his hands over his cheeks. He is also more attentive and focused. All of this and more would not be possible without our favorite SLP Michelle. Every session she left us with tips and advice to incorporate into our daily lives to continue supporting his development. Her passion and knowledge for helping children achieve their maximum potential is evident in each interaction. Since our last session, we continue to see amazing progress in our son. Michelle will forever be a part of my son's story and for that I couldn't be more grateful.”
